About Deb

Deb Giarusso is a wealth strategist with a focus and specialty in serving high wealth families and their businesses. Deb has spent 35 years building her expertise in both corporate and investment finance.

Deb’s professional experiences include preparing capital budgeting analyses for Oscar Mayer Foods in the early 1990’s, managing a multi-million-dollar family real estate and investment portfolio for over 30 years, and she was the founding principal of an RIA firm during the financial crisis of 2008. Additionally, she taught both graduate and undergraduate finance courses at the University of Northern Iowa for twenty years and devoted her valuable time to serve on multiple non-profit boards as a financial expert for the past decade.

Deb’s commitment to the local community, families, and building long-term relationships is reflected in the decision to return to her hometown of Cedar Falls, IA in 1996 after living in Madison, WI for 10 years—where in both locations, Deb remained an active part of the community. 

Deb continues to maintain a permanent residence and community involvement in Iowa, however she recently relocated to Virginia for 12 months and hopes to eventually and permanently reside in the state of Idaho within the next 2-5 years. 

No matter where Deb resides, she is devoted to helping shape communities and the families within.

Deb proudly holds the designation of CFA® charter holder, CFA Institute and earned her MBA from the University of Iowa.
